Lose Weight with Barbecue Skewers and Caprese Salad Recipe

caprese salad recipe barbecue skewersSo I often buy fresh basil leaves every week as my husband’s favorite recipe is Caprese Salad with Pesto Chicken or Barbecue Skewers but the package that the basil comes in is huge and I often find myself throwing it out.

Being brought up in a household where we were told not to waste food and especially not money, I decided to make it my mission to find other simple fat loss recipes with the key ingredient being fresh basil leaves so that I wasn’t forced to waste food or money. Of course I am sharing these recipes with you as they are super easy fat loss recipes and I am sure you can add these into your weight loss plan with ease. Here they are:

Barbecue Skewers with Caprese Salad

Quick Tip: If you are using a BBQ and have wooden skewers you can place foil around the skewers ends on the hot plate to prevent them burning and also so you can pick them up easily. It works best if tomatoes are flavorful and not floury.

Food Lovers Fat Loss Recipe

Thought I would share this fabulous and ever so tasty fat loss recipe. It’s one to certainly keep in your diet eating plan for life.

It is so easy to make and you can make extra chicken to keep for leftovers for lunch. So if you are like me and love to eat food- that is you are a real food lover but still want to lose weight then this is especially for you. You can adapt this for summer or winter by swapping out the salad for mixed vegetables. For instance in Summer follow the weight control recipe as it stipulates, but in winter when you feel you need something warmer try vegetables instead, the more varied the color of the vegetables the better for faster weight loss.

ALMOND MEAL CHICKEN with WILD ARUGULA and GOATS CHEESE SALAD

serves 4

4 Lean chicken breasts

2 tbsp olive or coconut oil

1/2 cup Almond Meal

Cover a chopping board with paper towel and spread out the almond meal onto the paper towel

cover the chicken breasts in olive oil both sides so that the almond meal sticks- you can also use an egg.

Dip the chicken into the Almond meal
